Fall Play Auditions - Children's Theatre of Winnetka

AUDITIONS FOR GOOD NEWS

This November the Children’s Theatre of Winnetka will stage
“ GOOD NEWS,” A hit 1920’s musical full of dancing, pep and
Jazzy razzamatazz. This fun filled musical has numerous parts
for both boys and girls in grades 4 through 8.
Only 4th through 8th graders living in
New Trier Township are eligible to audition.

Auditions will be held at the Winnetka
Community House Monday,
August 30th OR Tuesday, August 31st

4:00 to 5:00 – 4th & 5th Grades
5:00 to 6:00 – 6th thru 8th Grades
6:30 to 7:00 – Special Auditions

Everyone who auditions needs to learn the general audition song or bring in 9 to 16 bars of a song of their own choosing. If they choose to bring in their own song, they will need to bring in sheet music for the pianist. The song should be memorized and blocked. All will be asked to read from the general scripts and should be very familiar with the general audition scripts. All who audition will be taught a dance combination at the auditions. Please wear shoes and clothing that you can move in. Be sure to bring your Audition Form, available in the Orange box below.
6th through 8th grade actors can also choose to prepare a song for the special audition. If you choose to do a special, you must memorize and block only one special song from one of the special songs in the audition packet. Special Auditions will run from 6-6:30 p.m. If you choose not to do a special, it will not affect your chances of being cast. All grades (acting, singing, dancing) will be considered for all the roles in this production.
